Channel Tracking Policy Change Notifications

Overview

Channel Tracking lets you subscribe to email notifications whenever a policy change adds or removes packages from a channel. This is especially useful for administrators who need to stay informed when security policy updates affect package availability across the organization.

How Channel Tracking works

When you enable tracking on a channel, Anaconda Platform Cloud monitors the channel for package additions and removals caused by policy changes. Notifications are sent to the email addresses you configure at the interval you choose.

Setting up Channel Tracking

  1. Navigate to Channels and open the channel you want to track.
  2. Select the Tracking tab.
  3. Click Add Tracking.
  4. Enter one or more Email Addresses to receive notifications.
  5. Select a Notification Interval: Realtime, Daily, or Weekly.
  6. Click Save.

Notification intervals

IntervalWhen you receive notifications
RealtimeAn email is sent immediately each time a policy change adds or removes a package.
DailyA digest of all changes is sent once per day.
WeeklyA digest of all changes is sent once per week.

Note: Realtime notifications are best for channels where security compliance is critical and you need to act quickly when a package is removed. Daily or Weekly digests are better suited for stable channels where changes are infrequent.

Removing a tracking subscription

To stop receiving notifications for a channel, open the channel's Tracking tab, locate the subscription, and click Remove.
